Cobi & Coco Cakes
Cobi & Coco Cakes is a fully registered, insured and inspected food premises.
We are proud holders of a level 5 Food Hygiene Rating.
Consultations are by appointment only. Appointments can be made by visiting our contact page or by e-mail to email@example.com. There is a £20 fee for a consultation which is waved if you place your wedding order during your consultation.
Appointments last for one hour and are for a maximum of three persons. We appreciate that you may wish to bring a friend or relative to your consultation.
Bookings & Deposits
All wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of £100. Celebration cakes require a non-refundable deposit of £50. Once deposits are received your booking date is secured in our diary.
We require 50% of the balance to be paid 6 months prior to the event and the outstanding balance to be cleared 6 weeks before the event.
In the event of non-payment of the balance, we reserve the right to consider the order cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
We take payment by cash, bank transfer or by cheque payable to Serena Chin. Details are available on request or can be found on your invoice. Please message Cobi & Coco Cakes with confirmation of making a bank transfer in order for prompt acknowledgement of your payment.
If cancellation takes place 6 months of your wedding date we reserve the right to retain 50% of the cake price.
If cancellation takes place 6 weeks before the event, we reserve the right to retain 100% of the value of the cake.
Cancellation must be made by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, and will only take effect from the date your e-mail is received at our premises.
Unless otherwise requested, we offer a personal delivery and set up service on the date and venue stated on your booking form. Delivery is free within 10 miles of Sittingbourne. There is a delivery fee for areas further afield, please ask for more details.
It is our intention that the cake will be delivered in perfect condition prior to the start of your reception. However we ask for patience with factors that may be beyond our control (e.g. traffic conditions), we will keep the wedding coordinator informed with such delays.
Cakes can be collected from our studio with prior arrangement and are boxed for transportation. We do not take any responsibility for any damage that may occur to the cake once it has left our studio.
It is your responsibility to make arrangements with the venue for the location and display of your cake. Please ensure therefore that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold your cake.
A signature will be required from your venue management or a nominated person from your wedding party confirming the cake has been received and set up in good condition.
Photographs of the cake will be taken prior to departure by Cobi & Coco Cakes to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition.
Once the cake has been delivered, set up and signed for, we are unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.
Allergies & Special Dietary requirements.
Cobi & Coco Cakes all contain butter, gluten (wheat) and eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol. Nut, gluten and alcohol free cakes can be made on request, however we cannot guarantee no cross contamination due to the nature of production.
Cobi & Coco Cakes accepts no liability to customers suffering from an allergic reaction from eating our products.
It is the clients responsibility to inform all parties consuming a Cobi & Coco Cakes product of the afore mentioned.
Most cakes contain small proportions of inedible items, it is the clients responsibility to ensure that these are removed by the caterer/guest before consumption. E.g. support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbon, wires in sugar flowers and drinking straws.
It is the client’s responsibility to read & check their order form thoroughly. Where possible we will accommodate changes you wish to make to your cake and will charge you any extra cost incurred at our discretion. We ask that no changes are made 6 weeks prior to delivery.
Cobi & Coco Cakes reserve the right to make minor alterations to the design without notice, but in keeping to the agreed design and theme.
Best Before Date
Your cake is baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event. After the date, we advise sponge cake is consumed or frozen within 48 hours after the event.
Our cakes are made entirely of natural ingredients, and do not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives & preservatives. Freezing the cake however preserves the taste of the sponge and fruit cake as much as feasibly possible, but it will affect the visual appearance of the icing.
Publication and Promotional Rights
All rights in any original designs created and designed by us shall remain the exclusive property of ourselves. We reserve the right to publish photos of your cake on our website, social media outlets or any marketing product we see fit.
